Product Explorations : Blanket Weavings and Cordovan

We will be releasing a capsule collection of products that utilize several different custom developed blanket fabrics, which will be available at visvim and WMV flagship store locations both domestically and internationally.

For several seasons now we have continued development of a jacquard blanket material that consists of wool and linen where we make small adjustments and improvements with every design.  The newest creation for this season is a woven check blanket material that incorporates a kasuri yarn with color variation alongside a heathered yarn.  The fluffy texture and soft hand feel of the wool that suits the Autumn and Winter seasons is prevalent with every version of the blanket material.  The blended linen provides an aged appearance and worn in feel.  The rich expressions created by the complexity of the colored yarns, that are not monochromatic is a charm specially found in these pieces.  It is difficult to convey this appeal in words where it is better understood when experienced in person.v

The cordovan wallet series will also see a release at the same time; a special product made with a very rare and limited section of a horsehide that is tanned with vegetable tannins and made with meticulous care.  The smooth texture and beautiful luster, which give these pieces such charm is best appreciated when actually holding them in your hands. 

To coincide with the 12/14 (SAT) release of the capsule collection of products made with our custom blanket materials, the vintage blankets that were utilized for the collection's lookbook photo shoot will be on display and available for sale at VISVIM GENERAL STORE & WMV VISVIM TOKYO in Naka Meguro.  We hope you will drop in for a visit.
