The consistent theme for "WMV" is "be comfortable." It is my hope to create pieces that are truly

Something you want to be wearing all the time.

The start of the women's line "WMV" was prompted by a visit to the F.I.L. Store in Tokyo with Hiroki; there was a couple who came in where the man was looking at the clothes, while his partner, the woman, was sitting on a bench in the space looking a bit bored.  After seeing that I thought, I want to make it possible for families and partners to enjoy the world of visvim together and to be able to have a pleasant time.

That is why, although seemingly simple, the consistent theme for "WMV" is "be comfortable."  It is my hope to create pieces that are truly comfortable to wear and can also be worn in a great variety of ways.  It is because when I reflect on my own lifestyle, which involves taking my child to school at times, but also being ready to go on a hike at other times.  There are so many situations I find myself in such as having meetings or doing some cleaning.  When creating new products, I ask myself what is something that can be used in a variety of circumstances and also be something you would always want to wear?  In other words, the very act of enjoying life, through things such as eating meals with family, or going out somewhere could perhaps be considered my design process.

I like dresses and enjoy wearing them in my everyday life. Whether it is for a walk or to dinner I like to wear it casually with a pair of sneakers or boots.  The wool box dress (*1) I made for this collection was inspired by the work wear of women in Southeast Asia; it is washable and has excellent utility, while having a soft drape that accentuates the beautiful lines of your body.  On the other hand, the jumpsuit (*2) is a more masculine piece that I think will be perfect for washing your car; it is characterized by a rounded silhouette where the material is a wool linen blend with a silk jacquard lining that gives it an overall elegant feel.  I like the gentle touch of the sweater (*3) made with Japanese Mawata Yarn that is extremely soft and has a luster to it.  I value delicate sensibilities that include comfort and textural feel.  I want to create pieces where your body will feel a happiness whenever you are wearing it and also be something that you will want to wear forever.
