Releasing on September 7, 2024 (Sat,)
We thank you for your patience again as it has been approximately 10 months since the release of our last issue. The 7th issue is now complete. The theme for this issue is "Remember?". An individual's smaller history may seem to disappear within the flow of time; however, some are able to pass on their history by confirming their stories with a select few that still remember. This issue represents the nuances of this statement. We visited various parts of the world and spoke to a variety of creators, including artists and designers whose work connects the memories of the people who live in those areas. Of course, this issue will have plenty of content introducing unknown crafts, art and culture from all over the world. We will be presenting many beautiful visuals alongside comprehensive text.
Please visit our official website for further details about the upcoming contents.
"SUB Subsequence" is a 12-page photo ZINE that has been included as an addition for each issue since we published the inaugural issue of the magazine. It is printed using a RISOGRAPH (A digital printer that operates on stencil printing technology created by RISO KAGAKU CORPORATION in 1980) consisting of photos taken for articles published in the magazine that do not get used in the printed version. This iteration showcases photos taken during the interviews that took place on site for the feature titled, "Town Talker vol.1 : Carmel by the Sea", which is part of vol. 7. "SUB Subsequence" will be distributed to those who purchase a copy of Subsequence vol. 7 at direct visvim retail locations, which also includes purchases from the official webstore. Available while supplies last.

Samuel and Stephen's Works
To coincide with the publication of Subsequence Magazine vol.7, VISVIM GENERAL STORE / VISVIM GALLERY in the Naka Meguro area of Tokyo will host a special event Subsequence Salon.
Subsequence Salon is a pop-up gallery that exhibits and sells arts and crafts from all over the world for a limited time. Each work is carefully curated and selected by Subsequence Magazine. This time, we will be featuring the work of photographer Samuel Bradley and stylist Stephen Mann who have been crafting our visvim and WMV fashion pages since the very first issue of the magazine. The exhibited works that will also be available for sale will consist of over 10 photographs that have been published in the magazine so far as well as certain cuts that have yet to be seen.
In the magazine the layouts feature a luxurious large format that allows presentation of powerful visual pages with a print quality that has been adjusted to our liking, however nothing can beat the rich expressions of an original print that serves as the foundation for each feature. You are able to catch the subtle nuances of facial expressions that get captured or see the detailed textures of the props and clothing, which is challenging to reproduce in a magazine. This will also be the first time Samuel's works will be exhibited in Japan. We hope you will come in for a viewing on this special occasion.
In addition to the latest issue of the magazine we will also have official merchandise and goods available for sale. This will be a special salon event where you will have an opportunity to discover some wonderful things.
