Subsequence vol. 7 will release on 9/7 (SAT).  Prior to this, we will commence pre-order sales on the official web store from 8/13 (TUE).  We have also prepared a special surprise only available to those who place a pre-order.  We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.

The theme for volume 7 is "Remember?".  An individual's smaller history may seem to disappear within the flow of time; however, some are able to pass on their history by confirming their stories with a select few that still remember. This issue represents the nuances of this statement.  Please visit our official website for further details about the upcoming contents.

Subsequence Salon

vol.4

Samuel and Stephen's Works

To coincide with the publication of Subsequence Magazine vol.7, VISVIM GENERAL STORE / VISVIM GALLERY in the Naka Meguro area of Tokyo will host a special event Subsequence Salon.

Subsequence Salon is a pop-up gallery that exhibits and sells arts and crafts from all over the world for a limited time. Each work is carefully curated and selected by Subsequence Magazine. This time, we will be featuring the work of photographer Samuel Bradley and stylist Stephen Mann who have been crafting our visvim and WMV fashion pages since the very first issue of the magazine.  The exhibited works that will also be available for sale will consist of over 10 photographs that have been published in the magazine so far as well as certain cuts that have yet to be seen.

In the magazine the layouts feature a luxurious large format that allows presentation of powerful visual pages with a print quality that has been adjusted to our liking, however nothing can beat the rich expressions of an original print that serves as the foundation for each feature.  You are able to catch the subtle nuances of facial expressions that get captured or see the detailed textures of the props and clothing, which is challenging to reproduce in a magazine.  This will also be the first time Samuel's works will be exhibited in Japan.  We hope you will come in for a viewing on this special occasion.
